More Than 6,000 Malaysians Strengthen AI Skills Through TalentCorp's Jelajah AI MyMahir

KUALA LUMPUR, 23 July 2026 – More than 6,000 participants from diverse backgrounds have benefited from TalentCorp’s Jelajah AI MyMahir, a MADANI Government initiative implemented by the Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA) through its agency, Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp). The programme brings practical and accessible artificial intelligence (AI) skills closer to Malaysians, helping them build the knowledge and confidence to apply AI in their daily lives.

The initiative continued today with the Jelajah AI MyMahir TalentCorp Bandar Tun Razak Edition, officiated by YB Dato' Seri Dr. Wan Azizah binti Dr. Wan Ismail, Member of Parliament for Bandar Tun Razak. Held at Hotel Zecon, Kuala Lumpur, the programme brought together more than 400 students, youths, workers, job seekers, educators, parents and entrepreneurs.

Designed with a practical approach, the programme helps participants strengthen their AI literacy through easy-to-understand learning modules, hands-on activities and guidance from industry facilitators, including EY. This approach allows participants to experience the use of AI in real-life situations, rather than merely understanding it conceptually.

Through focused training, participants are guided to strengthen their skills, improve productivity, and use AI responsibly across learning, work, career development, business and everyday life. These skills help participants adapt to changes in the world of work and strengthen their competitiveness.

Participants also take part in guided simulation sessions, where they learn to use AI applications to create videos, posters, promotional materials and learning resources that can be applied immediately in their studies, work or businesses.

YB Dato' Seri Dr. Wan Azizah said wider access to AI knowledge and skills is important to ensure that the benefits of technology are shared across all segments of society.

"AI can help students learn, workers build new skills and entrepreneurs grow their businesses. Through TalentCorp’s Jelajah AI MyMahir, Malaysians are given the opportunity to explore and understand how the technology can be used appropriately and responsibly.

" This reflects the MADANI Government’s approach to ensuring that technological progress does not benefit only selected groups, but genuinely creates opportunities for all segments of society. AI should support students in learning more effectively, help workers strengthen their skills, improve employability for job seekers and enable entrepreneurs to expand their businesses," she said.

Through Jelajah AI MyMahir TalentCorp, participants are also introduced to AI fundamentals, the responsible use of AI technologies, and industry perspectives on the role of AI in the future of work and the economy. They also receive a MyMahir AI Skills Credit worth RM5,000 to support their continued learning in AI-related fields.

TalentCorp Group Chief Executive Officer, Ms Biruntha Mooruthi, said the programme's practical approach ensures participants leave with skills they can apply immediately.

" We want Malaysians not only to understand AI, but also to feel confident using it to support their learning, work, careers and businesses.

"More than 6,000 participants have joined the programme to date, reflecting the growing interest in building AI skills. Our responsibility is to ensure that these learning opportunities remain accessible, relevant and closely aligned with participants’ real needs.," she said.

To date, Jelajah AI MyMahir TalentCorp has been held across 11 parliamentary constituencies, including Kota Kinabalu, Sepanggar, Papar, Bangi, Sungai Buloh, Kluang, Parit Sulong, Sekijang, Paya Besar, Alor Gajah and Port Dickson.

Following the Bandar Tun Razak edition, the programme will continue in Hang Tuah Jaya, Kota Melaka, Batu Sapi and Damansara.

TalentCorp will continue expanding Jelajah AI MyMahir TalentCorp to parliamentary constituencies across the country to build a more skilled and productive population and workforce that is prepared for changes in the world of work.
