Melbourne, 3 October 2015 - Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) together with over 20 employers from Malaysia participated in the GRADUAN – MASCA Australia Recruitment Drive 2015 in Melbourne today, which attracted over 1,500 Malaysian undergraduates studying in Melbourne and other parts of Australia.

This year saw a better representation of companies from Malaysia's key sectors actively interviewing and recruiting Malaysians here, such as Shell, ExxonMobil, AirAsia, Motorola, PwC, Deloitte, Gamuda, Maybank and others.

“The positive employment appetite from Malaysian employers at the fair today is indicative of a healthy job market especially in Malaysia’s priority sectors,” said Johan Mahmood Merican, CEO of TalentCorp.

“It is encouraging to see employers from Malaysia investing time and effort to attract top talents to further develop and build a better Malaysia together,” added Elia Talib, Managing Director of GRADUAN.

"Intel is here to recruit for the Silicon Valley of the East, Penang. Be a part of the Malaysian team that designs, manufactures and delivers shared services for cutting-edge products like Intel’s compute stick,” Beau Gillette, Finance Director of Intel Malaysia explained when addressing the Malaysian students in Melbourne.

Malaysian regional giants were also among those committed to recruit young Malaysian graduate talent and provide them international exposure though their projects. “UEM Group continues to look for Malaysian talent with a global mindset to participate and contribute to the success of our increasingly international business and iconic projects, such as our luxury property developments here in Melbourne -- the 92-storey Aurora skyscraper and the recently previewed Conservatory,” said Norlida Abdul Azmi, Group Chief Human Capital Officer of UEM Group.
