Empowering Talents with Quality Internship Experiences

Insentif Latihan Amali (ILHAM), or Practical Training Incentives, is an ecosystem of internship incentives for employers by the Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA).

ILHAM KESUMA helps to ensure quality internships, structured professional development, and fairness and equity, benefitting employers whilst encouraging them to nurture local talent through meaningful, structured, and paid internship programmes.

ILHAM KESUMA is driven by 4 strategic components offered by agencies under KESUMA, which are:

1. National Structured Internship Programme (MySIP) by TalentCorp: Employers who hire Malaysian full-time students from local IPTA or IPTS, including higher learning institutions abroad and TVET institutions, to undergo a structured internship programme endorsed by us will be eligible for a double tax deduction incentive for related expenses incurred on the interns throughout the programme. 2. Internship Placement Matching Grant for SMEs And Start-Ups (LiKES) by TalentCorp: An internship placement matching grant for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) companies and start-ups.
