Combined classroom training funded by TalentCorp and on-the-job training with employers to upskill local graduates
Overview
The main thrust of the Graduate Employability Management Scheme (GEMS) is to enhance graduate employability with the aim to reduce talent shortages in the key areas of economy by 2020.

It will equip fresh and unemployed graduates with skills required by industries. TalentCorp acquired GEMS Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. from Khazanah Nasional Berhad. Under the purview of TalentCorp, GEMS has been revived to be more sector focused and demand driven.

Eligibility Criteria
To become a GEMS affiliated employer, companies must first fulfil the following criteria: 
  1. Registered with Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) under the Malaysian Companies Act 1965 and based in Malaysia
  2. Able to provide GEMS 2.0participants with a permanent position or at least a minimum of 1-year employment contract
  3. Willing to co-fund the programme by providing monthly remuneration to the GEMS 2.0 participants
  4. To provide GEMS 2.0 participants with suitable job positions and provide the required on-the-job training/hands-on projects
  5. Have sufficient capability and resources to provide coaching, mentoring, training and other relevant tools to the participants throughout the programme duration

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the GEMS programme, interested applicants must first fulfil the following criteria:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree holder with CGPA between 2.0 – 3.0
  2. Unemployed graduates of more than 6 months after final exam
  3. Open to Malaysian citizen with degrees from local universities
