MyAPEC YouthConnect is a talent mobility programme that provides you with short-term work placements (between 4 to 12 months) so that you can absorb skills and knowledge from other parts of the world, while connecting to fellow young APEC talent. 

Under this programme, high-performing Malaysian youth have the opportunity to work at leading companies with business presence in the APEC region. Meanwhile, youth from other APEC economies can gain international work experience in Malaysia.

What is APEC, and who are its members?
The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is a forum for 21 Pacific Rim member economies that promotes free trade throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Member economies include Malaysia, Australia, Brunei, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, New Zealand, Thailand, Hong Kong, United States, China, and Singapore. Am I eligible to join MyAPEC YouthConnect?
Yes, if you fulfill the minimum criteria below:

  • A citizen from an APEC community 
  • Between 21 and 30 years old 
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Certification holder 
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.0 or second-class upper of equivalent 
  • Excellent command of English and good communication skills 
How do I apply?

What is the application process like?
Step 1: Apply by submitting your application on-line
Step 2: TalentCorp connects applicants to employers
Step 3: Employers begin selection process. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for an interview (phone/video conference)
