Thomas Mathew is the Chief Executive Officer of Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp), having been appointed to the position on 4th November 2020.
Thomas brings with him more than 30 years of experience in corporate management, business strategy, and risk management. He began his career as a banker, holding management positions in the corporate and commercial banking divisions of several local commercial banks, from where he joined Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad (Danaharta), Malaysia's asset management company in 1998. He was initially involved in loan restructuring and thereafter headed its risk management unit, prior to its successful closure in 2005.
Thomas then joined the MBf Holdings group of companies, initially as its Chief Operating Officer and thereafter as its President. Thomas then assumed the role of Group Finance Director at Ben Holdings group in Sri Lanka, an established retail, media and theatre group, where he oversaw all aspects of Finance, Treasury, Legal, Human Resources, Risk Management, Audit, and IT.
Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness from Universiti Putra Malaysia.
Siva has been working closely with industry, government agencies, universities, chambers and international bodies to address Malaysia’s talent gaps. He is passionate about creating networks for Malaysia’s talent and optimising them for the current and future workforce and facilitating global talent. He also works on female empowerment and on bringing back women to the workforce.
Siva has been at the forefront of immigration research and development, engaging various stakeholders towards developing policy recommendations to deliver a more facilitative framework for highly-skilled expatriates in Malaysia.
As the Managing Director of the Malaysia Expatriate Services Centre (MYXpats), Siva was responsible for setting up the Centre, which is a collaboration between TalentCorp Malaysia and the Immigration Department, and overseen by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Expatriates Services Division (ESD) of the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
Siva is an MBA holder and software engineer by training.
Having begun her career in 1992 with the Ministry of Human Resources, Mahuran has more than 20 years of experience in Human Resources Management, and has a wide knowledge and experience in Human Capital Strategy & Development as well as Industrial Relation Management.
Mahuran works closely with stakeholders from federal and state governments/agencies, industry players, employer federations, labour unions and international agencies in conducting research study on human capital requirement, including demand and supply talent/skills.
Mahuran holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Business Administration from the University of Creighton in Omaha. She is a member of NAM Institute for the Empowerment of Women (NIEW), and enrols in the Women Directors' Programme (WDP), which aims to improve the effectiveness of women directorship roles in Malaysian public listed companies and statutory bodies.
SABIHAH BINTI AHAMAD
Head of Operations, Malaysia Expatriate Services Centre (MYXpats)
Sabihah heads the MYXpats Centre’s operations where she focuses on achieving operational service excellence to deliver quality expatriate services to all stakeholders.
Her 20 years of experience include interfacing with Government agencies and industries for the facilitation of Employment Passes and its related passes through the Expatriate Services Division (ESD) and the Residence Pass-Talent (RP-T) programme, both in collaboration with the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM) and overseen by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA).
Sabihah holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Transport) from Universiti Technology MARA.
